The mission had turned into a disaster, first we get dropped off in the wrong place, then we had to walk for 3 hours until we found the camp ,and then my companion got shot because he tried to get in for a closer look. I wish he had just listened and stayed in the bush with me, but a sniper had got him. I guess I was grateful, we were not informed of snipers. But he was dead and that was that, I felt nothing for him, he had a quick death. But now things were just more complicated, they would be patrolling the object, whatever it was, with more caution.
The bush was wet, but green and looked like it was from plastic. The Amazon was beautiful in pictures, and even more when you were there. The sky was a bright blue and it looked beautiful through the holes in the top of the trees.leaves under my feet crunched as I ran over to the next bush, One of the houses was built to the side of a small ledge, but if i could get on there then I could just get a proper look at the whole place. A house was at the end of the camp so I had less of a chance of being spotted, because all the guards seem to be in the centre of the small town. I stood behind a large tree, hoping that my brown face paint would hide me. I glanced around the tree, and took a small look at the town. 50 or 60 houses all together and about half as many guards. They seemed to be more centered around the big building, it was old and had no windows but lots holes in the side that could have been used as windows. It was made out of 30cm thick concrete walls had a steel roof that was rusty. I couldn’t see a door so I must of been seeing the back. Just then a bang sounded as a bullet hit the tree I was behind, wood shards hit the ground and I could see the impact of the bullet that had missed me by millimeters.
I ducked behind the tree with my back to the camp. This is what I had been training 20 years. Multiple gun fire came from multiple directions, all I could do was listen to the bullets zing past me, that was what I was good at. A rush of excitement ran into my veins and with it, energy. I waited another two seconds and then I had chosen my targets. The sniper was o n the opposite side of the camp, which would explain how he had found me so easy. 3 men were standing side by side in the house closest to me. I would shot the sniper first and then deal with the three men. I swung my arm around the tree and fired the pistol at the exact spot where the sniper sounds where the shots where being fired from.
7:45, SAD base.
The bomb was in the case, I had safely deactivated it from setting off and dismantled it. That was the whole point of SAD, search and destroy. I was 18 and I had been in this organization for 6 years. I have had multiple upgrades to my body, for example, my ears are so fascinating that they can track a single gunshot from the opposite side of a base. I had recently gone to the Amazon to find and dismantle a bomb that was being used as a threat to blow up the white house, in exchange for the bomb not being planted in the white house, all nuclear devices would be disarmed. The white house choose option 3, capture and destroy the bomb and eliminate all that say otherwise. Taking the elevator down into a deep secret that protected all.
17:54,Somewhere off Christchurch.
‘I spy with my little eye, ummmmmmm, something beginning with,an a’ Blake said to his brother. ‘Don’t know, nor do I care’ christian replied,’wrong’ Blake snapped. Blakes parents were good at ignoring there two kids, especially on long boring road trips. They were used to cranking up the stereo and blocking that all out, but christian had got some weird sort of ear infection, so they couldn’t do that.
They had just come out of their hometown (Christchurch) for about 40 minutes and it already felt like they had to stop. ‘Is it aeroplane’ said mum looking up at the sky and deciding that the only thing with A in it was the aeroplane that flew behind the clouds, ‘no’ Blake said trying to look smart.’I give up what is it’ mum said ‘Road’ Blake replied. They had no idea that a bomb was laid in the boot, and that it was triggered to go off at 17:55.
8:01 SAD base. Next day.
I had never heard of such violence, 50 innocent people had died in a car bombing. No survivors and no clue to what had caused it. I had already been flown over to find the cause, but something told me that what I was going to find would be little.
I had full access to anything I would need, 4 thats what they called me. I was experiment number 4 of 12, so that was my name, 4. I tried to avoid talking I would just nod my head, I asked no questions and I kept my face hidden from anyone that walked past. Then he said something, about that they already had found the man who was responsible for the bombing and that they hadn’t spoken to him, but that he had been shouting my name, ‘Wolf, I want agent Wolf’ .
The walls had no colour, they where just a old grey looking. And the lights where so dim the prison seemed more like a torture house. I guess they had the right to make it hell, some people just kept coming back because they liked it better in there. we exited the hall and into a large room, with cages going all the way to the roof, in 2029 they had decided that all criminals should go to the same prison, so they made towers with prison cages all the way to the roof. On the other side of the room he saw what looked like a holding room. A big long wall of glass and inside he saw what he had been running from his whole life, the reason he joined the SAD operation, his father.
It took some time for Wolf to convince himself that his father couldn’t hurt him, but it took even longer to believe that he had actually been captured. This man was project 1. His grey hair was a mess and he looked so out of shape, he looked as though he had been shaving with a piece of glass. His eyes where the only thing that made him look like he was in the old days, but if you looked close enough you could see depression in them and tiredness.
Staring at him was alot easier than facing him face to face. His orange suit made him look as though he was a builder or plumber of some kind, and his arms that had been handcuffed to the chair made him look like a dangerous, which no doubt he still was at his age. It was hard keeping eye contact with him, and ghe didn’t seem so surprised to see me. He smiled, a small smile, but just enough to tell. I kept a straight face, and sat down on the cold steel chair on the other side of the table.
‘’Why did you do it’’ I asked’’ so is that it, no hello dad how have you been, what you been doing lately’’ He said ironically.’’ Let me rephrase that, what have you been doing lately’’
‘’when did you care’’
‘’ever since you started blowing up cars’’
‘’ I didn’t blow them up, I got paid to put them there’’
‘’ how much’’
‘’ did you know they where going to blow up’’
‘’ what does that mean’’
‘’ well he said he was going to use them as hostages, in a way’’
‘’yes you do’’
‘’you’re right i do’’
‘’so you would come’’
That’s was all I wanted to hear, I through the chair at the wall. I paused, then I lashed out and grabbed his head and slammed it on the table.’’Who’’ I shouted ‘’dunno’’ he replied looking up at me like I was some sort of an idiot. Once I was outside the room I looked back at them window, but he was gone.
I am such an idiot, I kept repeating in my head. He wasn’t caught, he just pretended to be, and once he had given me the message they come for me. They knew where i was know, how where they going to do it. Just then a loud humming noise came from out of the sky. Pearing through the barred windows I saw a plane, an ordinary plane, probably was heading for japan, but smoke was coming out of the windows.
The plane was heading straight for the prison, running I was shouting for them to get out of the place. It was getting louder and I could hear all the inmates screaming and shouting. No time for them, sprinting I made it out of the building when the plane collided with it. I watched as the tower started falling, and falling.
